WELCOME!

I’m a sixth year graduate student researcher in the Molecular Ecology and Genomics lab at NOAA’s Southwest Fisheries Science Center in Santa Cruz and Dr. Grant Pogson’s lab at UC Santa Cruz. I am interested in early fish development and how biological and environmental factors influence it, with expertise in integrating genetic data, field research, and conservation management. My work currently focuses on the underlying genetics of steelhead and rainbow trout life history strategies.

connect me to your classroom

Through Flipgrid, you and your classroom can follow my research on steelhead development and migration. I have previously been a Flipgrid Explorer in Antarctica and Panama where I created science and curiosity based grids for classrooms. My most recent grid was Fish School, a grid on my research as a graduate student. Contact me if you are interested in organizing a private grid between me and your classroom.
